Shortcuts for contextual menu items

Recommended Posts

No, you can only assign keyboard shortcuts to commands in the main menus.

I've requested a change for the Frame Properties menu before, too. These options are currently available from the Context Bar and context menu (there are additional options in the Context Bar) but it would be helpful if they were in a panel or in the main menu.

Hi David Gamble,

As far as I'm aware there are no shortcuts for these options I'm afraid. I'll move this thread to our feature requests section :)

Thanks

Are there editable shortcuts available for contextual menu items?

A lot, but not all, of the Context Menu items have non-context-menu equivalents and, as such, are already available via keyboard shortcuts on Windows – see attached image (I haven’t set shortcuts for most things).

I’m curious as to why they aren’t showing in your Mac image.

Interesting; thanks, I didn’t know that.
Do the shortcuts work even though they aren’t displayed?

They do show up in the menus in the menu bar, so yes, the shortcuts are there and do work (except they are Command+X, Command+C, etc. rather than Control), it is only the context menus that do not display them.
