Hi there!

I bought a Mac (M1 Pro max, 10/32/64, 16'') for video cutting workflow and can not work on my book file now.

Publisher just crashes each time while opening the file.

It's rather big file with about 70 pages, pictures, footnotes and so on.

The Pictures are not linked, they are implemented static to the file.

Regards

nobody an idea, how can I open the file? Sorry for annoying, but I can not work on the project, which should be finished.

I will try to get back to Windows, but it's not so easy now for some reasons.

it appears to be something to do with global numbering within the document and possibly notes. You can try creating a new document then adding all the pages from the crashing file. However you may run into the same problem again. I'll get the issue logged in the meantime

If you  add the pages from file and before you save the document look at the endnotes section  I removed some of the later ones and then the document would save and reload for me

Thanks, but how can I add the pages to the new file from the old file if I can not open the old file? It crashes just after it opens.

ok, thanks. So I reloaded the file and just changed one word. Saved it and it reloads. So it seems to have nothing to do with the footnotes.

Anyway, I can work on the file again.
