affinota Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Hi there! I bought a Mac (M1 Pro max, 10/32/64, 16'') for video cutting workflow and can not work on my book file now. Publisher just crashes each time while opening the file. It's rather big file with about 70 pages, pictures, footnotes and so on. The Pictures are not linked, they are implemented static to the file. Regards affi Quote

affinota Posted June 7, 2023 Author Posted June 7, 2023 nobody an idea, how can I open the file? Sorry for annoying, but I can not work on the project, which should be finished. I will try to get back to Windows, but it's not so easy now for some reasons. Quote
Staff Pauls Posted June 8, 2023 Staff Posted June 8, 2023 it appears to be something to do with global numbering within the document and possibly notes. You can try creating a new document then adding all the pages from the crashing file. However you may run into the same problem again. I'll get the issue logged in the meantime Quote
Staff Pauls Posted June 8, 2023 Staff Posted June 8, 2023 If you add the pages from file and before you save the document look at the endnotes section I removed some of the later ones and then the document would save and reload for me Quote

It crashes just after it opens. Quote
Staff Pauls Posted June 13, 2023 Staff Posted June 13, 2023 in the pages panel you can right click and select add pages from file Quote
affinota Posted June 14, 2023 Author Posted June 14, 2023 ok, thanks. So I reloaded the file and just changed one word. Saved it and it reloads. So it seems to have nothing to do with the footnotes. Anyway, I can work on the file again. Quote
