ANGRYMAN Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 Like it says on the Tin, used to have no issue finding the document settings in V1 of Affinity Photo but can't find it anywhere now in V2. I have some logos I made a while back and I want to change the background to Transparent. Used to just pull up doc settings and change it under colour. Can't find it anywhere now. Quote

GarryP Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 The “Document → Transparent Background” menu item pointed to by Pšenda above is in the same place in Photo V1 and V2. The “File → Document Setup / Colour tab” path to the same setting is only in Designer and Publisher, and is in the same place in the V1 and V2 versions of each application. Quote
ANGRYMAN Posted May 30, 2023 Author Posted May 30, 2023 I found the option under document as shown in the screen grab above shortly after posting thanks but I could swear that in V1 "Photo" was the same as Designer etc in that with an existing document open, you could go to File Document Setup / Colour box and make such changes. However I do not have a Document Setup option in Photo and I deleted V1 after upgrading so can't refer back now. I assume that I was incorrect in thinking that this option was in V1 then. Quote
GarryP Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 As far as I know, Photo has never has a “Document Setup” option, either menu item or Context Toolbar button, because it regards documents differently to Designer and Publisher. I’ve got Photo V1.10.6 open now and there’s no “Document Setup” in the File menu – see attached image – but I don’t know if that was a recent change (I didn’t start using Photo until V1.8 or thereabouts). It's never had Document Setup as far as I know, either. I started with 1.5 or 1.6.
