flexscan Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 In addition to the section name, I would also like to enter the first and last page of the section in the header. For example, the header should look like this: section name | 021 - 029 (in case the section starts at page 21 and ends at 29) I found the field for the last page, but not the one for the first page of the section. Does this field even exist? Or how else could this be solved? Quote
Staff Callum Posted May 25, 2023 Staff Posted May 25, 2023 Hi Flexscan, I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly but this info should already be included under the section name in the section manager as shown in my attached screenshot. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
PaulEC Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 Doesn't adding a normal page number field, followed by the last page number field (with a dash between them) do what you want? Not if @flexscan needs the first page in the section and the last page in the section. Not the current page. "this is <section> which goes from page <we don't have a first page in section field yet> to <last page in section>." " Page <page #>" "this is Part II which goes from page 7 to 18." Thanks C The information where the first page of the section begins should be captured in Publisher. Unfortunately, I can't find the appropriate field to place it on the master page. @Callum : To the developers: Isn't it really easy to add a field like this in the next update? Quote
