In addition to the section name, I would also like to enter the first and last page of the section in the header. For example, the header should look like this:

section name | 021 - 029 (in case the section starts at page 21 and ends at 29)

I found the field for the last page, but not the one for the first page of the section. Does this field even exist? Or how else could this be solved?

Hi Flexscan,

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly but this info should already be included under the section name in the section manager as shown in my attached screenshot.

Thanks

Doesn't adding a normal page number field, followed by the last page number field (with a dash between them) do what you want?

Not if @flexscan needs the first page in the section and the last page in the section. Not the current page.

"this is <section> which goes from page <we don't have a first page in section field yet> to <last page in section>." " Page <page #>"

"this is Part II which goes from page 7 to 18." " Page 11"

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Hi Old Bruce, this is You're right, that's exactly what I mean. It's a pity that there is obviously no such field for the first page of the section.

You’re right, of course! I can only imagine I was thinking, “from here to the end”, rather than “from the beginning to the end”, which obviously is not what was wanted!

The information where the first page of the section begins should be captured in Publisher. Unfortunately, I can't find the appropriate field to place it on the master page. @Callum To the developers: Isn't it really easy to add a field like this in the next update?
