gumbo23
To save myself linking every spread by hand, how do I quickly link all text boxes when generating many new pages? I'm on v2 and can't recall how this is done. Thanks.
Staff NathanC Posted May 25, 2023 Staff Share Posted May 25, 2023 Hi @gumbo23, Are you possibly looking for the text auto flow function? This can be activated on your frame containing the overflowing text by shift + clicking on the text frame arrow. I've linked the help guide below for a more detailed overview of this feature. https://affinity.help/publisher2/English.lproj/pages/Text/flowingText.hml gumbo23

gumbo23
And now it will not work Steps: I paste in the full text and it overflows. I then hold shift and click the little arrow, and it produces enough pages to carry all the text. But it does not actually flow any text in. How can this be fixed? There is likely an issue with the text frame and master page set up. I'd need to see the document to be sure. We don't need to see the imported text, we can paste in anything to test with it. If you can't share the document, go to the frame you created the new pages from and position the cursor at the end of the text. Then right arrow until it jumps to the next page or frame. Watch the cursor as you continue to arrow right. A couple of things might happen. The cursor might be really tiny which would demonstrate that you had scaled the content (text) in the first frame which could make text in the next frame tiny. The cursor might not be visible because the text frame is behind another frame that is hiding it. Check the layers in the Layers panel to see what is going on.
