MagicOfIllustration Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 I Wanted to know if it is possible to quickly create guides by using a selection. Lets say I have a rectangle selected and I want to create column guides based on this object. How can I do this? The guides dialog allows me to select columns and rows etc, but they are always based on the entire document and not on my current selection. Quote
thomaso Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 The easiest way seems to be to use the snapping options to make the rectangle work as guides. rectangle as guides.m4v Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

Unless the OP truly means Column Guides, as you would set up only (I think) in the Guides settings dialog.
