Affinity Publisher crashing out when saving a renamed file iPad.

Ok, so I open Publisher 2.1

Live docs page

Swipe left on name bar

select save as, rename, and it exits

That’s strange. Now it won’t do it. It’s suddenly got the three icons back in the top bar of the file, and saves properly.

this is after I used the Save As option in the sandwich stack. Now all three icons are back. Hmmmm.

 

now though, it asked if I want to overwrite the existing file, I select yes, and then it refuses saying the file already exists.!

Hi @HarryMcGovern,

I've not been able to replicate this following the steps in your recording.  I've tried on a number of files on my Home screen in Publisher and this just worked for myself.

Thanks. I’m suspecting a conversion from Beta going wrong.

The original file was Beta 2.1, the file then didn’t want to play nice. Once I renamed it it seems to be ok.

You started out this report with trying to rename a file in Publisher 2.1 (retail) Live Docs, I think.

So I presume there you must have a few steps before that? Saving in the 2.1 beta, and then Opening in 2.1 retail, and then returning to the Home Screen, for example?

If I'm right, was anything else done in the retail before you tried to rename?
