the paper sizes for printing seem to be overlooking two choices common here in USA: 11X14 and 13x19

using the custom option is time consuming and cumbersome

You only need to do it once, then save as a preset.

Search for preset, in Help.ice_screenshot_20230504-134403.png.07d58f0434431b6963a7488611d14b14.png

Are you talking about the paper sizes specified in the Print dialog itself, or about the paper sizes specified in the printer Properties part of the Print dialog?

For the ones in the Print dialog itself, I find both of those sizes listed near the bottom of the list.

perhaps it is me but in the current newest beta version, when I choose from the crop menu there is a drop down for various sizes, but oddly 11x14 and 13x19 are not present

I am not talking about the printer paper choices

Thanks for that clarification.

If you are talking about cropping, rather than about printing and paper sizes, (which I assumed from the thread title and the first post,) the same principle applies, just add your own presets.

Search for "cropping" in the Help file:

(I'm assuming you are talking about APhoto, as the other apps crop in a different way and don't have a drop down menu.)

Personally, having built-in crop presets for 11x14 and 13x19 make little sense, for two reasons:

  1. Cropping to 11x14 or 13x19 implies (for most Crop settings) that I have an image larger than that, and I want to make it smaller. I seldom have images larger than those dimensions. The one exception would be in Resample mode, which can be used to make a selected area of the image equal in size to the specified value. That could make sense, except for the following.
  2. Cropping to 11x14 or 13x19 implies the user has a printer large enough to print 11x14 or 13x19, which are relatively rare. And it would be a borderless print, and I don't think most consumer printers can print borderless at that size.

For the (I think) rare users who do need those crop sizes, Presets for them are easily created, as @PaulEC mentioned.

appreciate everyone's input & suggestions....creating two presets and saving them has solved my problem...my Epson Expression Photo HD does in fact print sizes including 13x19 inches...using the crop tool to "resample" the image to the exact paper/print size is easiest solution to getting a borderless print
