Recommended Posts

HI,

Affinity - Photo and Photo 2 keep crashing since I updated to Windows 11. I need help sorting this out so that i can use the products. I have a Desktop PC with the following specifications :-

OS Name    Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU

Installed Physical Memory (RAM)    64.0 GB
Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070

I am using AP 2.0.4 but it also kept crashing on AP 1
Please let me know if you need further details.

Thanks,

Michelle

Have you updated your GPU drivers from the GPU manufacturers website?

If you have the latest drivers as listed yet turning Hardware Acceleration off.

Hi @Michelle111,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

In addition to the above, as you have updated your Windows version you may need to perform a 'Clean installation' for your Nvidia drivers, as crashing in Affinity after an update can indicate an issue with the app communicating with your GPU.

You can find out how to perform a 'Clean install' of your drivers here - https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/57037

I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
