OS Name    Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700K CPU

Installed Physical Memory (RAM)    64.0 GB
Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070

I am using AP 2.0.4 but it also kept crashing on AP 1

Have you updated your GPU drivers from the GPU manufacturers website?

If you have the latest drivers as listed yet turning Hardware Acceleration off.

Hi @Michelle111,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

In addition to the above, as you have updated your Windows version you may need to perform a 'Clean installation' for your Nvidia drivers, as crashing in Affinity after an update can indicate an issue with the app communicating with your GPU.

You can find out how to perform a 'Clean install' of your drivers here - https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/57037

I hope this helps!

If that doesn't work, you can also try to repair in Windows

Settings->Apps->Installed Apps

click on the 3 dots associated with Affinity Photo 2, Advanced Options and scroll down to repair.

2024 post here. this still exists. my newly bought Affinity doesn't work at all either Designer v2 or Photo v2. My setup is i5-12**HX with RTX 3050 Nvidia, and Windows 11 with the latest driver. Change every setup from renderer to Intel UHD to Nvidia, and vice versa I can't do anything. I cannot do:
- drawing simple vector on designer (it won't render and stop responding)

- photo placement is not shown on canvas for photo and then it stops responding

is there a way to ask for a refund? this is expensive for me

Go to Settings, Performance and turn Hardware Acceleration off.

Also when updating your NVIDIA drivers make sure you download the latest from the NVIDIA Website.
