Hello, here is a series of macOS system icon designs. I admit that I don't really appreciate the current icon of the Finder made in Apple: this silly smile is a toy that is not serious enough (and design).

I also propose below the A. Designer file (format 1024 x 1024 px) with the three colors, as well as an Automator script to transform the .PNG files into .ICNS

I forgot one precision: in the Blend mode types, the “Erase and Passthrough” function is really very practical to easily “hole” a layer and without having to add a layer. I don't think I've seen this great option in other graphics software (but I could be wrong too)!...

The Mac icons have become progressively worse as time has gone by. Always used to be impressed with the design and care the designers used to take, not any more. They’re not even consistent in style these days (perhaps copying clueless MS!). But the smiley finder icon is a classic even if it’s not as good as it used to be.

Which links are you referring to?

The resources at the bottom of the original post are ZIP files which can be downloaded directly from there (I’ve just tried and both worked for me) but you need to be logged in to be able to download them.
