hugenerd Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Hi, In the attached file, if you drag and drop the symbol layer with the word “label” while holding Shift + Option (i.e. duplicate and constrain movement) the app crashes every time. If I detach the symbol and then Shift-option-drag, Designer does not crash. If I change the font to Baskerville, Designer does not crash. In other words, Designer seems to crash when a symbol contains text that is set to certain fonts, but not others. Helvetica Neue, Arial cause the crash. Baskerville does not. I am using Designer 2.0.4 on macOS 12.6.4. Reverb.afdesign Quote
Old Bruce Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Crashes here on Mac OS 11.7 I think it has something to do with how you created the Symbols. I notice the Symbols in the Symbols panel jump about as I worked with your document. If I delete the Label symbol and then ungroup it and then group it and create a symbol all works well, except the Symbols in the Symbols panel still jump about as I work with them. If I delete all the symbols and ungroup them and remake them by grouping and creating symbols all seems fine. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
