MikeTO Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 If you want to format the first character of the note body (e.g., make it a hyperlink or italic) you can't do so without also applying that formatting to the note number. If you insert a space after the note number, format the now second character (e.g., make it a hyperlink) and then delete the added space, the note number will pick up the formatting of the first character. The only workaround is to define a character style for Note Number that explicitly turns off every possible character attribute you might ever want to use for the first character. i.e., define a Note Number style as Black, No Underline, No Italics, No Bold, etc. It should be possible to format the first character of the note body without resorting to this workaround. walt.farrell Posted March 22, 2023 Posted March 22, 2023 That seems to be very similar, or identical, to the way Bullets & Numbering works. The usual suggested workaround there is to insert a narrower space so you don't need to delete it.
