iiSkipper Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 (edited) Have an issue . if I open a photo then I use the PLACE option to add a second photo that was previously cropped by the iOS photos app the PLACED image comes up as the full photo and not the photo that I cropped previously. so using the Place option, it ignores what I have cropped. This also happens with affinity designer Edited March 21, 2023 by iiSkipper Quote

This also happens with affinity designer Welcome to the forums ! IOS Photos always holds the original image and the JPG editted version from the latest edit. You can at any time revert an image back to the original prior to your edits. That is what you are seeing. If you use the drag and drop method from IOS Photos to Affinity you will instead get the editted JPG version. Staff NathanC Posted March 22, 2023 Staff Posted March 22, 2023 Welcome to the forums @iiSkipper, The Affinity apps will now take the Apple Photos Edited/cropped version of your image when it is placed in the 2.1 beta apps as the apps now have improved integration with Apple Photos. I have linked the relevant improvement article below for more information. The 2.1 Beta app can be installed as a completely separate app, if you wish to try it for yourself I have linked the signup page below for more info. https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/affinity-beta-program/ iiSkipper 1 Quote
