JanH Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 I try to start photo (version 2) from ViewNX-I, but I cannot find the .exe file. How to start photo from another app? Quote

Staff NathanC Posted March 20, 2023 Staff Posted March 20, 2023 Hi @JanH, If you're unable to find the app .exe in Program Files (like in V1), it's likely that you have installed the sandboxed .MSIX version of Photo 2 which won't allow you to directly link external applications to open via an .exe, in this instance the external apps need to launch Photo from an external aflaunch.exe file as a workaround. To avoid this, I would recommend uninstalling Photo 2 and then installing the unsandboxed .MSI version of the app, this allow you to install the app to a set location (such as program files). Once you have installed the .MSI version you can then link your external app to launch Photo 2 on the Photo.exe similar to how you did with Version 1. I have linked a full guide below on how to find and install the .MSI app. Quote
