Frankly Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Is there no ability to place metadata in artwork for designer V2? Quote
firstdefence Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 No, not in Affinity Designer but there is in Affinity Photo, you can use File > Edit in Photo if you have Affinity Photo installed. Frankly Posted March 19, 2023 Author Posted March 19, 2023 So I can open the designer file in photo and create the metadata, then it will be a photo file when I save it? Quote

It is possible, and a couple of the formats, jpg, tiff, png will retain the metadata. Others like jxl or webp, will not, especially if you're wanting to export to SVG or EPS. So it depends on how your going to use the file? Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Frankly Posted March 19, 2023 Author Posted March 19, 2023 Thanks for this info, I tried it and it works perfectly. I just opened the file that I exported as a jpg from Designer in Photo, entered the metadata I wanted and saved it. It now has metadata as a jpg file. Quote

affinty_user Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 I agree and would also welcome a metadata editor for affinity designer. It is kind of annoying to switch everytime to Affinity Photo / Publisher to add the metadata. Quote
