Collapsing child layers not collapsing parent layer.

 I've pulled this recipe into a new thread as it not something we've been able to replicate, could you provide the document so I can try to replicate the problem please.

But... if there are a lot of groups and layers and you click on that line, you don't know where you are.

 

Is it possible to do it so that clicking on this vertical line immediately hits the parent layer?

The issue "Focus is not moved to parent layer when closed via layer bar next to child layer. " (REF: AFD-6446) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1720".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.
