ORo Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Hi Dealing with very annoying inconsistencies when using that universal shortcut…through all versions of the affinity suite !!! On 3 mac pros (2010) I encounter that same flaw. This is frustrating, more even so when relying on tablets where keyboard shortcut comme in to be very handy. It does disrupt the smoothness of the workflow. This issue has never been addressed since the first releases…or am I missing something somewhere. Have other users complaints to this regard ? thks Quote

Not vice versa. It takes some time to get used to, but it's for a reason, so that it doesn't interfere with MacOS global shortcuts. See affinity.help/designer2/en-US.lproj/pages/Workspace/shortcuts.html > View Shortcuts MikeTO 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
ORo Posted February 17, 2023 Author Posted February 17, 2023 Hello and thank you for your feedback. Yes indeed it is in the order you mentioned...the concern is that for no reason the cursor randomly remains in the pan mode (hand) instead of switching to the zooming function. retrograde 1 Quote
retrograde Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 This is still happening to me. Any updates or news on this @Ash? Quote http://www.kevincreative.com https://www.behance.net/kevincreative https://dribbble.com/kevincreative https://www.instagram.com/kevincreative/
Dan C Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 @loukash @retrograde I've been unable to recreate this issue. Which keyboards are you using? Apple keyboards, having a low profile leaves their switches somewhat open to interference from the smallest of debris. If you are using the original keyboards, it may be worth a quick blast with an air duster underneath your keys to prevent anything from interrupting your keypress. Lee Quote
retrograde Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 Well if that fixed the issue that would be great I will give it a shot. Quote http://www.kevincreative.com https://www.behance.net/kevincreative https://dribbble.com/kevincreative https://www.instagram.com/kevincreative/

It's actually been there from the start of Designer V1. It's intermittent so sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and I can forget about it. It's so weird. Dan C Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 It might be worth trying with a different keyboard just in case. Lee Quote
ORo Posted July 10, 2023 Author Posted July 10, 2023 It’s the standard keyboard from apple…. that came with the 5,1 mac pro’s from 2010 I use three of these mac’s with the identical issue 🥴. Regards Quote
Dan C Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 I'm assuming you are talking about Affinity v1? The last supported OS on the 2010 Mac Pro is 10.14 which is not compatible with v2. Lee Quote
ORo Posted July 10, 2023 Author Posted July 10, 2023 Hi, I am using v2 and have the latest version of Mac OS X thanks to OCLP. The issue is present right from the first version and petsists through the upgrade to V2 and the os’s! Quote
