Rob SF Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Can someone explain to me how to properly use "Replace all"? I'm trying to apply a ¶ style to every instance of a phrase in a story. When I choose "Replace all," I get a list of all of the instances—so Publisher has found all—but I'm still only able to do the actual replacement one at a time. What am I not understanding? As always, much obliged for folks helping out this newby. Quote

Hello @Rob SF, I'm not sure what's going on but don't look at the remaining list of Find when you click Replace All button. Check the text itself to convince yourself that the changes have been made. walt.farrell Posted October 18, 2023 Posted October 18, 2023 What release of Publisher are you using, @m job and what OS? Can you give a screenshot of your Find and Replace panel after the Replace All? MikeTO Posted October 19, 2023 Posted October 19, 2023 Ensure you enter the identical search characters in both the Find and Replace text fields and then choose the replace with paragraph style from its associated gear icon. I tested it just now in 2.2.0 and in the 2.2.1 beta and it worked well. Note that it's a bit odd because when you click Replace All, it does replace all but it also selects the next search result which makes you think it only replaced one. There's really no need for Publisher to select the next search result. You don't need anything in the Replace field. You can leave it empty, and just specify the format information for the replacement.
