MikeTO Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Publisher lets you rename master layers but then won't accept the changes. Create a document and draw a frame on the master page Go to page 1 and double click on the Master A > Frame Text layer in the Layers panel. Rename it. Publisher will let you try but when you press Return the change will be ignored. If Publisher isn't able to let you rename master layers it shouldn't let you try. Also, you can rename the master group and that doesn't seem to cause any issues but it doesn't seem like a great idea. Making changes to the objects on the master page still updates that renamed master group on each page, but it is confusing. Perhaps this should be blocked? Old Bruce Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 I never noticed this. In my opinion both Layers and the Master Page names should only be accessible when using Edit Detached. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
