user_0815 Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Wanted to move some furniture around (tool bar icons) and came across this glitch: Re-arranging the icons drags the entire window when click-dragging an icon. π 1. Enter the "Customise toolbar" mode via right-click on tool barΒ 2. Click-drag any icon sideways In some cases it is possible to move an icon, mainly when dragging it straight down and then sideways. See screen recording. tool bar.mov Quote
Staff MEB Posted February 13, 2023 Staff Posted February 13, 2023 Hi @user_0815, I'm having trouble reproducing this here. What OS version are you running? Seems you have set the menu bar to hide automatically in the macOS Systems Settings, Desktop & Dock section. Can you confirm please? Are you running any third party utilities that may be interfering here (window management utilities etc)? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
loukash Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 @MEB, I've been observing a similar issue on Catalina since v2.0.0. Usually it happens when trying to drag fast. To avoid it, one has to click and hold a bit longer. Staff MEB Posted February 13, 2023 Staff Posted February 13, 2023 Thanks for the additional info @loukash. I still can't fully replicate the issue in Ventura except when I try to drag the empty spaces - those do drag the whole interface for me. Regular buttons/groups do not. Still poking around. user_0815 Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 Ah sorry totally forgot the essential info. 2.0.4 on MacOS Ventura 13.1, MBP 16 inch M1 Max. Attached is a secondary Eizo Monitor via HDMI if that is of any significance. Quote
Staff MEB Posted February 13, 2023 Staff Posted February 13, 2023 I've now fully replicated the issue (both buttons/groups and empty spaces). It's related with the use of a trackpad. I'm logging this to be looked at.@loukashΒ Are you using a trackpad too? Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
user_0815 Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 Interesting. The MBP has a built-in trackpad although I am/was using the Apple Magic Mouse which also has that touch surface built in for scrolling in any direction like a track pad. In very rare cases, some apps recognise a click for a drag. Perhaps because the finger moves on the touch surface when clicking. Quote
Staff MEB Posted February 13, 2023 Staff Posted February 13, 2023 I'm using a Magic Mouse here but wasn't yet able to reproduce the issue with it (only with empty spaces, not buttons). Using a MacBook built-in trackpad I can reproduce easily both cases (empty spaces and button/groups). Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
