dissoma Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 (edited) Hi! With affinity photo and designer V1 I had a nice little icon at the corner on the thumbnails of saved .afphoto and .afdesign files. (See pic) This helped me to distinguish files and see which ones are my affinity work files and which are just JPGs. Now this little corner icon is gone with Affinity V2 Can I bring it back somehow? Komatös Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Hi @dissoma Most likely, Windows is missing the assignment to Designer V2. Right-click on an .afdesign file, choose "Open with..." and then Designer 2. Staff NathanC Posted February 24, 2023 Staff Posted February 24, 2023 Hey @dissoma apologies on the late reply, I believe the app thumbnail icon in the corner was added back if you have the .MSI version of the app installed and then re-assigning your default app for .afdesign files to Designer 2 again (via right click on an .afdesign file > properties). I've linked a forum thread below which details how to download and install the .MSI version. If you're going to try this be sure to uninstall your current .MSIX version of Designer 2 first as they can be installed along side each other and are not easily distinguishable. Also, if you have Photo 2/Publisher 2 installed be sure to uninstall the .MSIX and install the .MSI for these apps as well to stop any other conflicts. Quote
