Darner Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 Hi In Affinity Designer 2: Seems like not possible to expand strokes when stroked objects are grouped. Quote
loukash Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 If you mean by selecting the Group layer, that's already the case in v1. In that sense, nothing has changed. Whether this was already considered a "bug" in v1, I don't know. Darner Posted January 30, 2023 Author Posted January 30, 2023 You're right. Also in V1. Let's hope it's a fix. Thanks for feedback though Quote
Staff Sean P Posted February 2, 2023 Staff Posted February 2, 2023 Hi Darner, I've passed this on to development to look into. Darner 1 Quote

Additional challenges about "expand stroke". Sorry if double up from earlier content. Aware that double up nodes can create challenges in "expand stroke". This alone could use a fix so that "expand stroke" works well even with double up nodes. Double up can sometimes be result from "contour tool". Other challenge is typeface in stroke. In this case Myriad Pro. When using "expand stroke", it again creates defects on many outlined letters. If it was one letter, might do manual workaround removing node, but when multiple letters, and wanting to keep same look as "none expanded version", it can be problematic. Hope you can fix this one in upcoming update!! Thanks. Quote
