Steve Ballard Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Steps: Invoke HSL adjustment Select right most channel and click Picker Select a colour with the picker try sliders - none have any effect. The same action with the other channels works, although I'm not convinced the colour selection is accurate. Quote

Is it perhaps a placed Image layer? What is the Blend mode and opacity of the HSL Adjustment Layer? I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Steve Ballard Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 I tried this with three separate images. Two had just one pixel layer, the third had several layers with HSL adjustment applied to the top layer. Throught the blend mode for layers and the HSL adjustment was Normal. The colour selection was always from the layer below the HSL (the only layer in two cases), actually the HSL adjustment was a child layer (the default with Photo 2). As I said above when a channel other than the right most channel was initially selected HSL worked with exactly the same steps/operation. Opacity of the HSL adjustment unchanged at 100%, ditto blend mode unchanged at Normal. Quote
Ron P. Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 The far right hue is Magenta. There needs to be Magenta in the image for that to work. It works fine for me. Could you provide a screenshot showing your preview area (image), the layer stack and the HSL Adjustment dialog? RichardMH Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 HSL works properly for me. Windows 11. Quote
Steve Ballard Posted January 19, 2023 Author Posted January 19, 2023 I reloaded my system (Win 10) and re-run the same steps as before and this time it worked as it should. I don't know if just reloading Affinity would have cleared the issue. Whatever, my report is a false alarm Ron P. 1 Quote
