SDJ63 Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 We have a good pdf with proper black color separation. We place this in Publisher then create a pdf with the same settings. The black separation of the pdf is no longer correct and has become FC???? When the eps of the same logo is placed it goes ok.... Always was bin an issue with Affitnity also in earlyer versions. Thomahawk Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 OK in my case, I did set fogra 39 and check in acrobat with fogra 27. This did not make a difference in the past. But now it needs to be set to the same on affinity and acrobat, or its not looking right Quote
Thomahawk Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 i could even check it with Web colors in the past and it checked out Quote
Thomahawk Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 have to be more precise with color settings. This is Acrobats fault, I do not understand why it does not even detect the color setting of a document and set itself to that Quote
Hangman Posted January 30, 2023 Posted January 30, 2023 @SDJ63 and @Thomahawk, this appears to be a PDF Passthrough bug in the Affinity Suite. If you change PDF Passthrough to Interpret for any placed PDF files it should resolve the issue. @Thomahawk does the file you are working on use placed PDF's and if so, is this where you are seeing this specific problem when viewing the colour separations in Acrobat? If so I'd be interested to see whether changing PDF Passthrough to Interpret for any related Placed PDF's works with the file you are working on. Just tested this with the same files and seperations seems to be oké with the PDF Passthrough to Interpret. Lets nee this week if this files the issue. Thanks for now. Quote
Thomahawk Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 In my case it seems the changes that affected me were that i now have to choose exactly the same color profile in acrobat. before, this did not matter as long as it was a cmyk profile. Quote
Hangman Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 @Thomahawk, you definitely need to choose the same colour profile for both Designer, the PDF export and Acrobat otherwise you won’t see consistent results… Using Fogra 39 in your source document but checking using Fogra 27 in Acrobat will result in the issue you’re experiencing. Assuming you also embedded the colour profile in your exported PDF?
