Hi, I installed the trial 2.0.3 of Publisher; it worked absolutely fine for 2-3 days, then today don't start at all.

Attached alert says that can't communicate with other Affinity apps, and check the firewall. I disabled firewall and antivirus, but nothing change.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, but still don't run.

What may I do?

Have you tried Restarting Windows? 

Do you have any other Affinity V2 apps running when the problem occurs? 

Do you have any Firewall products running, and do they block local communications?

1) yes;

2) no v2 neither v1 running (I installed only Publisher, that worked absolutely fine for maybe 20 hours in 3 days);

3 yes, Kaspersky, and tried also disabling it without results. All other applications work fine, including Publisher v1.10.6

It wouldn't matter that "all other applications work fine", as applications do different things and most won't be using local network communication. But I'm surprised that disabling it didn't help. Perhaps something else is providing firewall functions, too?

If it was working, and then just stopped, it is likely some change that occurred on your machine, not something in Publisher.

That's about all I can think of. Sorry. Perhaps someone else will have additional ideas for you to try.

I agree in all. The only notable -and vaguely related- thing that changed in my machine in those days is that I updated Publisher/Photo/Designer v1 to 1.10.6.

Thanks, but as there is no relationship between V1 and V2, that should not be the cause of the problem.

Hi Fcast

its likely that there is still a firewall somewhere that is blocking the app I'm afraid. Please double check this and if you are still having issues please could you try adding. https://affinity.api.serifservices.com/ and https://affinity.serif.com/ to your firewall exemptions.
