[MAJOR BUG!!] Photo V2 Removes Development Settings After "Develop"

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I am facing a very big problem.
I can't develop Canon .cr2 images correctly since V2.

After I set the Details settings,

they are lost after clicking on "Develop".
The ticks are removed. I also see this because the image then becomes blurry after "developing".

Going back to "Develop", I see that the ticks are not set aynmore:

This is a mega disaster!!!
I need a hot fix!

When you first entered the Develop Persona, what option did you choose in the Output box in the Context Toolbar?

Also, as you mentioned images becoming blurry, what Zoom level were you at before clicking Develop originally? You would need to be at a Zoom of 100% (or possibly higher) to judge sharpness accurately.

If you are opening up a new RAW file (or the same one) despite the Preset showing your user created one you called Standard, this has not been selected or applied. You have to switch the preset back to Default then select Standard again to actually use and apply that preset.

This bug has been reported previously

Something strange is going on.

It doesn't matter if I embed the Develop Settings on directly into a Pixel Layer or leave that linked via RAW. As soon as I click "Develop" and the process is complete, the sharp image suddenly becomes blurry (at about 30% size).  If I stay at 100% the whole time I don't see any difference after finishing. I.e. the sharpness is in.

It seems that at 30% I get more sharpness displayed than really is. But that should not be the case.

You can only evaluate how much sharpening you've applied when you're viewing the image at 100% while you're sharpening it. If you've zoomed out to 30%, and then applied the sharpening, you are getting a false view of the file contents.
