jackamus Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 I would like to revisit and old 'complaint' I have had about AD regarding the use of Guides and Bounding boxes. I have discussed at length with moderators and developers why Bounding box nodes disappear when moving a guide to coincide with a node. This can be especially important when drawing centre lines for ellipses and circles. One reason given was it reduced screen clutter. That does not make any sense when one considers the amount of information that can appear when moving objects around. Once more I appeal to the developers to add this very useful feature to AD. firstdefence Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 +1 Makes no sense to me either, why not have Always show bounding box as an option on an "Advanced" tab along with a myriad of other settings such as guide colour etc Quote iMac 27" 2019 Sequoia 15.0 (24A335), iMac 27" Affinity Designer, Photo & Publisher V1 & V2, Adobe, Inkscape, Vectorstyler, Blender, C4D, Sketchup + more... Eddy-2 Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 Although it doesn't do exactly what's asked for, one step along the way is to select one of the snap options, as below... Quote
jackamus Posted December 27, 2022 Author Posted December 27, 2022 That will only work if there isn't another close-by snapping point elsewhere on the drawing. If the nodes were always visible then you would see immediately if it snapped or not to the mid point. Eddy-2 1 Quote If voting made any difference it wouldn't be allowed!
