Can get a Filling: PDF or picture with transparency background

PDF with transparency background.

I want to have a fill in the background

For example:

  1. create a blank rectangle of the same size as the placed PDF (use snapping for easy creation)
  2. move the PDF as a child of the rectangle, i.e. clip the PDF with the rectangle
  3. add a fill to the parent rectangle

With Lock Children off, the child will resize with the parent rectangle.

Picture Frames might be easier, though. Do you have a specific reason for suggesting a Rectangle shape instead, @loukash?

Hey,

thnx guys!

I'm relative new with Affinity (former InDesign user),
I have to learn a lot.

I helped myself with editing the PDF and draw a white background
direct in the PDF itself.

I would like to have an automatic option in Affinity to give transparent PDF's
a background to save time.

Greetings from Germany and Merry Christmas.
Tobi
