awakenedbyowls
If I select the edge or top of an object and click Flip it just flips across the centre point, regardless of what anchor point I have selected Same with Rotate - just rotates 90 degrees round the centre. But if I apply the rotation as a number it rotates around the anchor point then Basic functionality shortcomings that had to be worked around in V1 that are still there in V2 🥱 These are basic features! So what exactly are we getting for our £90 - the hope that these things might eventually be fixed in the future?
loukash
No offense, but what exactly are you talking about? ashf
You can use the Transform Origin.https://affinity.help/designer2/en-US.lproj/pages/Tools/tools_move.html Though for flipping it, you have to use the mouse. (You resize the object toward negative direction) Or vote for this for easier flipping. awakenedbyowls

It's all there in plain English I'm talking about the difference between applying a rotation (while selecting an anchor point) using the box where you can enter an exact angle (or use the pencil/mouse wheel) and the (Flip and) Rotate buttons which apply 90 deg turns clockwise or anticlockwise. For some reason the developers have decided these rotation buttons will default to the centre point of the object and not whatever anchor point we may have selected - but the other box for entering the angle will apply to anchor points (if selected). One method works on anchor points - the other doesn't - which is badly constructed and leads to confusion.

(in Adobe too) Cheers! ashf
