Yuri P. Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Avast One anti-virus reports Photo.exe as containing virus. Re-installation is needed afterward. to make AP work again. It happened when I tried to open Help from AP menu. Also, I had to explicitly give Avast a permission to allow AP opening a JPEG file.
Staff Chris B Posted November 15, 2022 Staff Posted November 15, 2022 Hey Yuri P. This does happen from time to time. It's just Avast doing its job 'too well'. It's called a 'False Positive' - I'd recommend giving full permission to Affinity if Avast allows it. How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
Yuri P. Posted November 15, 2022 Author Posted November 15, 2022 Thank you, Chris, I already did just that. However, I suspect that less technical users may find it difficult (like, for example, finding Affinity 2 executables, Photo and Help). It may be useful to make it a public knowledge in one of the Help sections or in the installation guide. Chris B 1
