donka Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Unless I am missing a setting, layer groups are all represented by a folder icon instead of the small thumbnail that v1 had. Is this intentional, or have I hopefully missed a setting to restore the thumbnail view for layer groups? It makes quickly identifying the group you are looking for much quicker.
MikeTO Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Choose Show Group Thumbnails from the Layers panel menu. Cerender 1 Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters MacBook Pro (M4 Pro, Tahoe 26.1) and iPad Air (M2, iPadOS 26.1)
donka Posted November 13, 2022 Author Posted November 13, 2022 Many thanks. I just discovered that on the iPad and came back to confirm.
JordyBoothy Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) Thank you for raising this issue, donka. Saved me making a new thread! The layer thumbnail previews save me from naming all my layers. I was quite disappointed opening my project files in v2 to see a big list of unidentifiable groups! MoonaticDestiny Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 I made a post about this here. I think "show group thumbnails" should be on by default.
