Book panel - crash while synchronizing

Win 10 (WIN update deleted: KB 5017262 - known problem on V1 operation)

Hi,

I splitted a bigger book - made with V1 last version - (approx. 220 pages, incl. a lot of tables and graphics) into 7 chapters and tried to synchronize the whole book and also parts of it. I tried several adjustments.

Most of the time Publisher V2 vanish during the synchronization process.

Hi Gabe,

I uploaded a complete "native" set (chapters and afbook-files) of this book ...

(Dropbx didn't stop at the end of upload .. please check, wether you got the zip file or not. Thanks!)

Hi Gabe,

I tried 3x- one complete, 2x without resources - but Dropbox does never end the upload ...

So I'm not sure if uploaded i s completed this time...

So I uploaded the files (.zip) to my cloud space and sent via dropbox a text file.
In this text file you find the download link.
Please download the files from there, if dropbox didn't do the job ...

I've got your files now, but it all seems fine on my end. I wonder if it's because I had to re-link them all. Can you try to break the link (rename the books folder, or move it somewhere else) and see if that fixes it?

Hi,

tried several things, incl. link break.
I was not successfull by anything here, except synchronization of a color field.
Chapter files do not close more or less often  ... text sync seems not to work proper, did a synch on one chapter and crashed during synch of next chapter etc., book panel does not react anymore sometimes ... etc.

I tried again, reduced to 3 chapters ... impossible to be successfull or even give you good infos, too many break downs very fast even by simple operations  ...

Could you try to re-upload the files on dropbox please? Your link has expired. Maybe even a screen recording of your workflow, in case we're missing something

Hi,

I uploaded now a screen recording for one of the problems (shorten to 3 chapters).

1. inserted a new text format (on the 3. chapter)
2. synchronized 1. and 2. chapter with 3. chapter - result: ok (text format only)
3. synchronized 1. and 2. chapter again, this time all features ... publisher vanished

Before I made a similar test (not on video, Publisher got stuck during synchronization)
