Hi @djcook, welcome to the Affinity forum

The Affinity V2 apps are free to download in the App Store and will run as a 30 day trial. The Universal Licence is available as an in-app purchase within the free app.

This is not normal.

Please note the announcement in the red box at the top of the page. They are a small team, fielding a large number of requests at the moment, and (I think) fielding them in the order they received them.

I might consider if Affinity was free.  But if I have to pay for a product or service, I expect adequate service and support.  The small team excuse is just plain unprofessional and may not interest the user at all.

It may not, but on the other hand, knowing the reason may help some understant that they are not being ignored.

But this is not how problems are solved in the normal world.  Instead of addressing the issue, Affinity issued a statement and warning, apologizing to the people who wanted its product and saying they had problems and did something wrong.  So they keep quiet and blame the problem on someone else.

Hi,

I have the same problem, bought Affinity V2 Universal Licence in Appstore for my MAC and its impossible to register the license on my Affinity account.

The instructions in the support page is,

If you in-app purchase an Affinity V2 Universal Licence through either the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store you will also need to register that Affinity V2 Universal Licence in your Affinity Store account. By signing in with your Affinity ID to the “My Account” option in the software, your in-app purchased Affinity V2 Universal Licence entitlement will also become registered in your Affinity account.

But there is no place to register, and second, what shall I register due the receipt from Apple do not provide a license key.

Regards

Ulf

I had the nearly the same problem. I buyed Affinity 2 Photo and then made the upgrade to the universal license over the Appstore on my ipad. When I start AP2 und go to my account nothing happend that lead me to take over the purchased product to my account. 'restore purchase' is out of function also. I think the same will happen in designer and publisher. I will try it but no grate hope. Appstore on Mac? Same result.

Regards

Lutz
