Jim Slade Posted November 11, 2022 Share Posted November 11, 2022 You should be able to create styles through settings rather than having to format text and create styles from the formatted text. This method, a la Pages is REALLY irritating . It may be simpler for beginners but for those who are use to styles, it is easier and faster to create a template directly from a settings screen, especially when there are styles with a common root style. You can. Click the New Paragraph Text Style or New Character Text Style icons at the bottom of the Text Styles panel, and fill in whatever you want in the Edit dialog that you get.
