kevnburg Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 (edited) Auto-resizing text to fit textboxes is the feature I was personally expecting and was then disappointed to not see mentioned in the New Features page for the Publisher v2 launch. I do large data merges for card games and often find myself manually resizing text for individual wordier cards when it doesn't fit the text box. I want to switch to fully using Affinity products, but I still find some other software (e.g. nandeck, component studio) much more convenient for my game dev purposes because they have this auto-resizing of text feature. Gerarbara Posted February 14, 2024 Posted February 14, 2024 I used to be able to do this in Serif PagePlus. Why the retrograde step? PaulEC 1 Quote

It is not a retrograde - Affinity is a completely new application created from the ground up, which Serif (as he has stated many times here on the forum) is gradually adding the necessary functions to. cypher360 Posted March 29, 2024 Posted March 29, 2024 +1 to this. I have the exact same use case and it just makes sense to be able to have "scale text" as a selectable overflow behavior...especially for data merges where it'd seem far more likely to need consistency with the drawn text box size.
