walt.farrell
To get you working again, you can try this: Press and hold the Ctrl key until step 4 Start the application Watch the Windows Taskbar for the application to start, and if you do not see a Clear User Data dialog on the screen click the Taskbar icon. Release the Ctrl key In the Clear User Data Dialog, uncheck Reset Studio in the top section. Uncheck Clear User Defaults in the top section. Check Clear Document Presets in the bottom section, near the bottom. Click Clear. If that does not get you running, try all this again, but in step 5 leave Clear User Defaults checked instead of unchecking it. tingham
I'm not sure what the above steps are intended to do. This is the first time I've installed anything from serif, but disabling open cl seems to have resolved my problem for the time being. Thanks

Thanks for letting us know, if the app is crashing when creating new documents this usually indicates an issue between Affinity communicating with your GPU. I'd recommend making sure that your GPU drivers are fully up to date, directly from the manufactures website to avoid these crashes. I hope this helps
