Keeps crashing (no error, just closing)

Affinity Designer 1.10.5.1342
Windows 10 Pro
Videocard: AMD 5700XT (software: 22.9.1 Adrenalin Edition version)

I keep crashing randomly. Sometimes after few minutes and sometimes longer. This could basically be anything, so i attached the crash log (last 3) which should point someone into the right direction. Could be graphics drivers, other software, issue with Designer, and so on.

Hi @Nolfy,

Sorry to hear you're having trouble & many thanks for the crash report files provided!

I can confirm that this is occuring due to the latest Windows .NET updates, which are causing crashing in many WPF apps, including Affinity.

Please see the below FAQ for more info here, alongside our recommended steps to resolve the crashing:

I hope this helps :)

Crashing coming back. I only had 2 updates from that list which i uninstalled.
I thought the problem was solved, but i just crash again and lost a good chunk of my work.

This is very concerning, because i read that there are no more updates coming. Of course i hope that the article was wrong and is not the case for bugfixes.

IMPORTANT UPDATE for anyone still using V1 Affinity applications -

Versions 1.10.6 of the Affinity suite have been released, which resolve these .NET Windows crashes.

Please see the below link for information on how to download and install these updates:

With the Affinity updates installed, you can now un-hide any previous Windows updates you have paused and install these without concern.
