J2W
Almost every time I have a photo that is poorer quality and I try to Resize Document (under Document tab; Bicubic with Resample checked), it 1) either crashes or 2) moves slow, and if I run a High Pass filter on it, then it crashes. I have tried several of the other "crash fixes" with no luck. I am unable to get any work done. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated! How about disabling Hardware Acceleration? > Edit > Preferences > Performance
Staff Dan C Posted November 3, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 3, 2022 Hi @J2W, Welcome to the Affinity Forums I'd also recommend checking the below FAQ and comparing the KB updates listed with your installed Windows Updates, as these are known to cause crashing behaviour in Affinity currently: Please do let us know if this helps! Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! J2W
I apologize for the delay. I've been away. I sincerely thank you both for reaching out! I also have to apologize again because I did uncheck Hardware Acceleration before I reached out, but evidently it went back to the previous settings after it was reopened. I have unchecked it again and so far all is working fairly well. Anyone else that has this problem, double check to make sure Hardware Acceleration stays unchecked. Thanks again!
