  1. Versions 1.9+ are configured to use hardware acceleration. If your system can't support that, it will crash. Try updating the GPU (graphics) driver. If that doesn't work..., turn OFF hardware acceleration in Preferences >> Performance.
  2. Yes, 1.9.2.1035 is stable, and newer than the latest beta.
  3. Versions 1.9+ are set to use hardware acceleration. If your system can't do it, it will crash. Try updating the GPU (graphics) driver. If that doesn't work, turn OFF hardware acceleration in Preferences>>Performance.
  4. I also have a Lenovo Yoga running INTEL (R) UHD Graphics 620 and had problems with AP 1.9.2 when hardware acceleration is used. After reading that others have fixed their problem by updating the 620's graphics driver, I tried to do the same. It wasn't that simple. First via Windows Update, next via Lenovo Vantage, but both said an update was NOT available. Finally, I found an update utility from Intel (Intel Driver & Support Assistant) which updated my driver to a 2021 version, and all is good now with OpenCL.
  5. Some of the crashes with the latest release can be fixed by: (1) updating the graphics driver If that doesn't fix it, try (2) turning OFF hardware acceleration in Edit>>Preferences>>Performance
  6. I'm on a Lenovo notebook (UHD Graphics 620, Version: 27.20.100.9316, Date: 2/18/2021) and 1.9.2 runs sweet with hardware acceleration enabled.
  7. You might try this (originally posted by: v_kyr): If you are able to reach the Preferences settings before crashing, switch there to the Performance settings and disable the hardware acceleration settings. Afterwards restart and retry. If you can't reach the performance preferences settings, since the app crashes before, then alter and disable the hardware acceleration setting manually from outside and start and tryout the app afterwards. - Alternatively you can also use and tryout this tool to disable the settings. Or you can try out one of the latest Beta builds which should

  9. The quickest way to find out is to enable hardware acceleration again. It'll either work, or not work.
  10. The new driver (if it supports OpenCL) may allow you to run hardware acceleration.
  11. Quick fix #1: Try disabling hardware acceleration in Preferences. Or Quick fix #2: Update graphics driver.
  12. Export to jpeg works just fine for me with OpenCL acceleration on 1.9.2.1005.
  13. I was having the same problem with AP 1.9.1 & Intel UHD 620. I thought I had the latest driver (both Windows Update & Lenovo told me so - release date: 2020). Then I ran an update utility from Intel (Intel Driver & Support Assistant) which installed a 2021 version of the driver..., and now Hardware Acceleration works just fine.
