Visual glitch when exporting in png or when I rasterize.
PeteMacca replied to Cookiber's topic in V2 Bugs found on Windows
A known issue. Try turning off Hardware Acceleration: > Edit > Preferences > Performance -
In other words..., turn off acceleration to make it go faster.

Sorry..., I meant to say that Hardware Acceleration is still causing problems for some users in V2. So sad...

What! Hardware Acceleration is still a thing in V2? Sad...

Getting glitches on exported image
PeteMacca replied to wickedmind's topic in V2 Bugs found on Windows
I sure hope his problem stemmed from V1. If it's from V2, it's a major disappointment. -
Affinity Photo crashes nearly everytime I resize a document
PeteMacca replied to J2W's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
What "crash fixes" have you tried? How about disabling Hardware Acceleration? > Edit > Preferences > Performance -
What you describe are the typical characteristics of a conflict between your graphics driver and your GPU. Disabling Hardware Acceleration (OpenCL) usually fixes it. It did for me, and many others. You could see if your graphics driver can be updated. It's worked for some.

What sort of files? Where did they come from? How were they created? Can you share some here?

Without much to go on..., a likely cause could be a problem with Hardware Acceleration. Try turning it off: >> Edit >> Preferences >> Performance If that didn't fix it, check for a Third Party Software conflict:

Is AFFINITY dead?
PeteMacca replied to J.T's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
New features in 2.0? I'd be happy if they just fixed all the bugs in 1.0, starting with the OpenCL mess in Photo. -
Maybe try posting in the right forum... https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/73-designer-bugs-found-on-macos/

Installation on Windows 11 crashes
PeteMacca replied to Snoopy17's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Good question @Snoopy17. OpenCL was introduced about 18 months ago. It (probably) works for most people, but not all. Like you, I'm one of the unlucky ones. There is some wild speculation that a new version (v2) might be coming. But will it fix the OpenCL issue? Affinity is not saying. Fingers crossed... -
Installation on Windows 11 crashes
PeteMacca replied to Snoopy17's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Try this... -
Hey @peseoane, I had a similar problem with glitchy sliders about a year ago. It was caused by a conflict with the graphics driver and Hardware Acceleration (OpenCL). At the time, I had to roll back to an earlier version of the graphics driver, or keep Hardware Acceleration OFF. Not a solution, but a compromise.

Photo se congela en cualquier momento
PeteMacca replied to An95Gz's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
@An95Gz said: "I need help with a problem that no longer lets me work. I open the program, and at any time, with any tool the program freezes and I have the only option to close it without being able to save the file. When I close it and reopen it there is no record of what I did, I have to rearrange my workspace and configure the settings of my tools. I formatted my PC thinking it would fix it but it did not. I have the updated drivers. Thank you, greetings from Argentina." Affinity Photo crashes with Windows 11
PeteMacca replied to Wyness's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
So did you try any suggestions? Third party software conflict? Disabling Hardware Acceleration? Updating graphics drivers with a clean install? If none of these work, you'll need to provide much more information about your system and your situation. -
Affinity photo crashing and not responding
PeteMacca replied to Magnascha's topic in V1 Bugs found on Windows
Disabling Hardware Acceleration should fix it. Intel UHD Graphics 620 doesn't play nice with HA. I know..., I have the same. -

Could this be the problem? -

Pruebe a desactivar la aceleración por hardware. Ve a Edición > Preferencias > Rendimiento. En algunos sistemas, la tarjeta gráfica dedicada de Intel causa problemas cuando la Aceleración de Hardware está activada. ---------------------- Try turning OFF Hardware Acceleration.
