GjonTravolta
I cant set keyborad shortcuts to coverage, flow and hardness in affinity photo. Or is there a way to do so? Thank you for a hint.
Staff Callum Posted October 31, 2022 Staff Share Posted October 31, 2022 Hi GjonTravolta, Welcome to the forums There is no way to set custom shortcuts for this I'm afraid. The only shortcut for setting hardness is the one described here. Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. GjonTravolta
So there is no way to change coverage and flow, except to fumble with the setting fields in the top left corner...
Staff MEB Posted October 31, 2022 Staff Share Posted October 31, 2022 Hi @GjonTravolta, Welcome to Affinity Forums Press and hold CTRL+ALT then drag the mouse horizontally to change the size and vertically to change the hardness. To change the flow press and hold CTRL and press a number in your keyboard: for example 4 will set the flow to 40%; pressing 4 twice successively will set it to 44%. Pressing 0 (zero) sets it to 100%. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software

Staff MEB Posted October 31, 2022 Staff Share Posted October 31, 2022 On Windows hold the right-mouse button and press a number to change the flow. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
GjonTravolta
Wow, cool that works, thank you for that input. Are there any shortcuts for changing the coverage?

Brushes support Opacity, Flow, Hardness, and Accumulation as far as I know. And there doesn't seem to be any simple way to change accumulation, if that's what you mean. The modifiers are explained in the Help (for Photo, at least) in the section Painting Brush Strokes: https://affinity.help/photo/en-US.lproj/pages/Painting/painting.html Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
