AffinityCAD… rolls off the tongue doesn’t it??

But on a serious note. Does anyone know if a powerful/affordable CAD application is on the radar for Affinity? If not, can it be??

I love what Serif are doing with their software and I would love to see something like this from them. I know that there are other free alternatives but I just feel that Serif would make an affordable yet powerful application that would compete with, if not match the capability of the top CAD software.

Please do this Serif!

Thanks for the link… I have read some of the other posts regarding this already.

My question is, are they actually looking into it or are they passing on it altogether? Unless I missed it, I can’t seem to find much info on that.

Either way, the more people posting about it, the louder the voice haha

I can’t see how Affinity guys and gals have any time to be thinking of software expansion as I am of the opinion they are likely to be already stretched with upgrading the suite to version 2. I would prefer they concentrate on that rather than get way laid by trying to be all things to all people. Let’s get the suite up to full power first as most users are missing a number of useful functions across the suite which are available in other similar software but as yet are not available in the suite. I can only hope we will all see some progress in the not too distant future but these things take time.

A few months ago I thought I would try to add up all the feature requests that have been submitted from about 2017 to present. I gave up at 3,000. These are unfulfilled requests. So where do think this CAD would fall? ;)

All good… was just interested. Different people want different things from a software company so I was just asking the questions based on my interests.

At least if they know people are interested they can think about putting more people on and to work on it in the future. Not saying they should drop other projects.

Depends on where the money falls haha

Jokes, that’s a lot of requests.
