Mary Helen Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 I upgraded to Catalina last week and I have all the current versions of the Affinity Programs. All was going well until this evening when I go to save my files. I can enter a name, but can not choose a place to save it and the SAVE button is greyed out. This is for ALL the programs: photo, designer and publisher. I have had to force quit to get out of the programs. I have restarted my computer a few times, but still not change. PLEASE HELP! I am in the middle of some graphics that need to be finished tomorrow! Thank you! Quote
Mary Helen Posted April 3, 2022 Author Posted April 3, 2022 CORRECTION: I am running MONTEREY not Catalina - Hopefully this will get me some replies! Quote
Old Bruce Posted April 3, 2022 Posted April 3, 2022 All I can think of is that "ACC Directory" may be in a networked drive or in a folder in the cloud. Try saving to the Desktop or your documents folder which is in your computer's hard drive. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Mary Helen Posted April 3, 2022 Author Posted April 3, 2022 My folders are all saved on my hard drive. The ACC folders are showing up there because I am unable to pick a folder to save my file in. I am wondering if my Parallels threw this off? I had it open as I need it for one printer program...but this has never happened before.. Do you think I should uninstall and reinstall my affinity programs? Quote

I have never used it but there could be something going on with limiting access to directories. If possible turn it off and see what happens. Mary Helen Posted April 3, 2022 Author Posted April 3, 2022 I did turn it off - still no SAVE option. I will continue to try other avenues. Right now I just have to export my files (no problem there) to save them and then open another photo/design document and place them again and continue on with my work. Layers via png export files! Thank you for you time - I will let you know when a fix is found! Quote
Staff MEB Posted April 4, 2022 Staff Posted April 4, 2022 Hi @Mary Helen, Welcome to Affinity Forums Did you have bought the Affinity app(s) from the Mac App Store? If so do you mind if this FAQ (both first and second post's instructions) does fix the issues for you please? Thank you. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
