Greetings all,

I have been working on creating a certificate of authenticity to accompany photo prints when a customer buys one. I sent the first one I made to the printer and they said the aspect ration does not match up with the selected sizes of 3.5x5 and/or 4x6 inches. I looked up a chart online which says the ideal ration would be 1200x1800. This turned the image long on the vertical side when I need it long on the horizontal so I changed it to 1800x1200 which brought it back to a landscape position.

I hope this will work, but thought I might check with someone here first before sending it to the print lab again. I have also found a new problem, after shifting all the details how I needed them with the new dimensions, I now have a border at the top that is not representative of what I need so I need to remove it somehow. I am attaching an image in hopes someone can help.

Thanks in advance,

Joseph

Welcome to the forums @JDMonroe

Although you are sharing your work, in the “Share Your Work” section, you have also asked for help with it.
You might find that you can get more help with this if you posted in the appropriate “Questions” section of the forums rather than “Share Your Work” – people seem, in my experience, more likely to be looking in “Questions” for questions to answer rather than “Share Your Work”, which is a bit more like a gallery than somewhere to ask for help.
A moderator might move this thread for you so there’s no need to duplicate this elsewhere.
If this thread is moved, you can always share the finished work in the “Share Your Work” section later if you want to.

Hi @JDMonroe

Welcome to the forum.

The new aspect ratio should be correct, you may need to re-size the objects on your page to fit the new size.

When a document is resized, if the option 'Anchor to Page' is selected, this will keep the objects in their current place rather than rescale them to fit the new document size.

Thank you for the help. I cannot seem to find where your screenshot was taken that includes the anchor. In this instance, I would like for the layers to be resized so they are not distorted with the change in the aspect ratio. Do do so, I guess I would select for it to rescale. The question remains though, where exactly do I find that option? I did not see it when I went through the steps to export, nor on the bottom right where I can also change the aspect ratio.

Disregard this question. I just found it.

Thanks again,

J
