Would be nice if I could choose the app location to install on Mac.
Such as a subfolder in the Applications like Applications>Affinity.
StudioLink does not work when the app location is changed.

Why would you want that? Any apps that you use regularly I would assume would be in your dock, everything else would be the apps you randomly use now and again but not enough to warrant keeping in the dock.

I have received this request from some users in an user group.
Historically apps can be moved anywhere people want on Mac so I can understand their request.

Years and years ago when Apple came out with the requirement for all applications to be in the Applications folder I thought the world had ended. I liked organizing things in a sensible manner. I now have a selection of folders in my Documents Folder which have symbolic links (or you can use an alias) to the applications in the Applications folder. I use my links to organize the way I work with applications. I rarely go into the Applications folder.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

At least making StudioLink works in a subfolder of the Applications would be useful since Affinity apps work individually in a subfolder already.
