chriscaldwell Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Hello, Is there a tutorial on how to make an object look dirty and grimey? I'm wanting to make this stainless steel grill look greasy and dirty. Maybe even a bit of the structure it's mounted on. Thank you for any help. Quote
NotMyFault Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Add a pixel layer, select suitable brushes (oil, sprays, …), choose a dark red/blue color and brush over all areas. use reduces opacity e.g. 60-80% and fill to add multiple this layers of splatter, spills, fingerprints etc jmwellborn 1 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. chriscaldwell Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 Thank you so much! This looks great. Can you attach the file so I can open it in Affinity? Quote

jmwellborn Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 @NotMyFault Good Heavens! What do you suppose the food looked like? But he always leaves a mess. The image is nothing compared to what I experience in real live. Mostly everything covered in white dust of flour. jmwellborn and Wosven 2 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | MBP M3 Windows 11 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 | Dell 27“ 4K iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Mostly everything covered in white dust of flour. You think that is bad. I have a son who is an excellent attorney and also likes baking (at Christmas) who can get melted chocolate half way across the kitchen on walls, windows, and door handles, while he “folds” it into cake batter. Good thing he is more precise with the law! NotMyFault and Wosven 2 Quote 24" iMAC Apple M1 chip, 8-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16 GB unified memory, 1 TB SSD storage, Ventura 13.7.4.
