Ball Photo
I don't know if changing the cursor color is an option currently because I can't find any way to do so. I do a significant amount of photo retouching and sometimes when working on certain color backgrounds the cursor blends into the background. It would be nice to be able to cycle through some primary cursor colors at the touch of a keyboard shortcut. Thanks for your attention. By the way I have recommended Affinity to a significant amount of my customers here at Ball Photo. Dan Palmer
GarryP
In the interests of clarity, are you talking about the text cursor or the mouse pointer, or something else? If you mean the mouse pointer, which mouse pointer(s) do you mean (it has lots of different 'looks' in different functions)? Can you supply some visual examples of where the standard colouring becomes a problem and how being able to re-colour would make things better? Renderluz
Its been many years of people asking for a robust solution for a cursor, no update has resolved this issue yet tho. This thread deals with your request: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/115185-cursor-for-tools/&tab=comments#comment-624780
carl123
The default cursor's colour and size can be controlled from within the standard Windows settings and the Affinity apps honour those settings as shown below (Windows 11) On 3/1/2022 at 6:36 PM, Ball Photo said: when working on certain color backgrounds the cursor blends into the background. There is also an Inverted cursor option, which (presumably) is designed to help with the above situations Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. Renderluz
We are not talking about the mouse cursor but the brush cursor. i.e. the actual shape of the brush when you paint. But maybe Ball Photo was not, regardless, as far as I could understand, its the actual lack of brush shape options that hinders the usability of the application. The Mouse pointer is fine tho.
