Can I use Affinity for card making?

Please can someone give me advice?

I am looking for a replacement for my Do-Craft Digital Designer program for making Greeting cards as for some reason my DD freezes when I import an image. I have been using DD for several years without problems.

I like to import images from Nitwit Collections that I own also images/photos from my library.

Would I be able to do this with Affinity?

Welcome to the forum @Coolnan

Yes you should be able to use it. With regards to your libraries and images, as long as they are folders with images in them and not proprietary packaged formats that only Do-Craft Digital Designer can access you should be good to go.

Thank you for your reply I will look at tutorials and hopefully decide to download. Looking forward to learning how to do this I am so used to my Digital Designer hopefully it will be similar.

There are actually three Affinity Apps: Publisher, Photo and Designer. Each one is available as a 10 day free trial, so probably the best thing to do is to try them out and see which one is the best for what you want to do.

https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/ Click on the Find out more button and scroll to the bottom of the screen and you see an option for Free Trial.

The trial versions (desktop only, not iPad) are available via the following links:

Please note that each trial is strictly limited to ten calendar days, counting continuously from the moment you first launch the app, so for maximum testing time you should run each trial separately. Thanks to the shared file format, any documents that you save can be opened and further edited in the other apps.
