Hi,

Whenever I export this file with either of the adjustment layers on, I get this blocky chunk that shouldn't be there. Notice it around the cheekbone in the afdesign file. I only see it when exported into a PDF. It's just a hard straight vertical line.

This file is for print, and I'd really like the adjustment layers to work for it, because otherwise it doesn't look as good.

problems with rasterized images.afdesign

Hi @discomushroom,

Thanks for your report and I'm sorry to see you're having trouble!

I have 'cut-down' this file in order to identify the cause of this - it seems to relate to both the Adjustment Layer at the top of the main group & another group, clipped to a curves object. Removing either the adjustment or the group layer stops the incorrect PDF export render:

I am logging this as a bug with our developers now, as the PDF export should certainly match the document within Designer.

In the meantime I would recommend rasterising the layer before exporting, as Wosven has covered above.

I hope this helps :)

Thank you both very much. I rasterized the layer like Wosven said, and it's perfect!

One last question... Was there a more efficient way to make this file? If yes, how would you do it? I wanted everything non destructive, hence all the clipped image layers.

If not, do you always suggest copying the original, then rasterizing the new one so I never get this problem?

Thanks a lot!
